Apple TV+’s The Lost Bus sees Matthew McConaughey back behind the wheel, this time as a school bus driver who answers a call to rescue stranded children during the 2018 Camp Fire, the deadly fire in California’s Butte County that resulted in 84 fatalities.
Based on Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, the movie is directed and co-written by Paul Greengrass (Captain Philips) and also stars America Ferrera (Barbie). From the trailer above, it looks like it’s going to be a stressful watch.
The Lost Bus is streaming on Apple TV+ “soon”.
