The Harry Potter book series is full of unforgettable characters including humans, beasts, and creatures. One lovable bunch are the Weasley family, which take Harry in and treat him like one of their own.

While a lot of dark things are happening throughout the Wizarding World, there are four Weasleys in particular that readers can count on to make them laugh: twins Fred and George, the youngest brother Ron, and the youngest of all the Weasley siblings, Ginny. Not only do these four siblings make jokes about other people, they also make funny comments about each other. You have to love family.

Harry and all of the Weasleys at Hogwarts receive a Christmas sweater from Mrs. Weasley. Fred and George each receive a blue sweater with the first letter of their name on it.

Talking to Ron, George says:

“You haven’t got a letter on yours,” George observed. “I suppose she thinks you don’t forget your name. But we’re not stupid—we know we’re called Gred and Forge.”

“The Ministry’s providing a couple of cars,” said Mr. Weasley.

Everyone looked up at him.

“Why?” said Percy curiously.

“It’s because of you, Perce,” said George seriously. “And there’ll be little flags on the hoods, with HB on them—”

“for Humongous Bighead,” said Fred.

Percy, now an employee at the Ministry of Magic, is trying to impress his boss, Barty Crouch. Percy offers Crouch tea, and he calls Percy by the wrong last name—Weatherby.

“Oh shut up, Weatherby,” said Fred.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Ron has been playing Quidditch terribly as Gryffindor keeper. Fred and George watch a Gryffindor practice, and discuss it with Harry and Hermione.

“Has Ron saved a goal yet?” asked Hermione, peering over the top of Magical Hieroglyphs and Logograms.

“Well, he can do it if he doesn’t think that anyone’s watching him, said Fred, rolling his eyes. “So all we have to do is ask the crowd to turn their backs and talk amongst themselves every time the Quaffle goes up his end on Saturday.”

Harry and Ginny are now a couple, which is a hot topic of gossip amongst the Hogwarts students. Ginny tells Harry, Ron, and Hermione that Romilda Vane, who had a crush on Harry, asked Ginny if he had a hippogriff tattooed on his chest.

Harry asks, “What did you tell her?”

“I told her it’s a Hungarian Horntail,” said Ginny, turning a page of the newspaper idly. “Much more macho.”

“Thanks,” said Harry, grinning. “And what did you tell her Ron’s got?”

“A Pygmy Puff, but I didn’t say where.”
