Lots of good, important stuff happens in June. We get Pride Month, Juneteenth, and the official beginning of summer. And we have the less important stuff too, naturally, like Applesauce Cake Day and Take Your Dog to Work Day. (Do not give your dog applesauce cake at home or at the office.) New comics and graphic novels fall somewhere between these two categories.
This month, our exciting new titles include everything from the graphic memoir of a beloved sci-fi icon and LGBT rights activist (yes, that one you’re thinking of now!) to fun, gentle books that are just perfect for getting the youngest readers into comic books. If you want something to make your pulse pound, make you smile, or make you think, you’ll find it here.
Whether you plan to read outside in that summer sunshine or hide inside from the extreme weather, each and every one of these comics will be the perfect companion. I hope you’ll be able to take some time off to really enjoy the latest additions to your library or, if not, that you at least get to take your dog to the office as you hurry through the work day in anticipation of cracking open one of these great new stories once you get home.
