“Libraries aren’t just repositories for books and ancient computers. The past couple of years have seen the rise of the Library of Things, a section of each regular library that contains fun, unique items. Seeds, cake pans, audio/video equipment and kids’ science kits are among the standard offerings, but some towns take it to the next level, allowing patrons to borrow everything from chargers to bicycles from their unusual library collections.”

I had to look up what some of these items were (Pickelball!?) and um, aren’t lawn darts illegal?!

“You can download the Summer Reading Chart printable right here and then you can print it out in whatever size you’d like (I did a 36×48 engineering print that cost me $7. All the instructions for how to print an engineering print here!).

The printable reading chart is completely customizable (you can change the colors, rearrange the icons, adjust the text, etc) and there’s a video showing you exactly how to do it.

And if you’d rather just print it at home, we’ve created a version custom made for 8.5×11 sheets so that the bubbles aren’t too tiny to use. Just print out the three sheet version of the Summer Reading Chart and you’re good to go.”

This summer reading chart is AMAZING! And the time spent on all the instructions making it super easy for everyone to customize is WOW!

“Audiobook publisher Dreamscape Media has struck a deal with Marvel Entertainment to distribute a few dozen of the Marvel’s iconic comic books as read‐to‐me style audiobooks. The titles will be made available for sale, and also added to the free library lending app Hoopla, starting in September.

Some of the comic books covered by the agreement include “The Ultimate Spider-Man,” “The Ultimate X-Men,” “X-Men: Codename Wolverine” and “Daredevil: The Man Without Fear,” with works coming from author like David Michelinie, Tony Isabella, Len Wein, Marv Wolfman and Peter David. Around 2 dozen titles are being produced exclusively by Dreamscape Media as part of this collaboration, and an additional 20 titles haven’t been widely distributed before.”

This is great news! I love how audiobooks are on fire lately!
