If you love all things horror, psychological suspense, and dark fantasy or want to dip your toe into these arenas of literature, you’ll want to check out the finalists for this year’s Shirley Jackson Awards. The Awards are voted on by writers, editors, and critics, and they’re presented in six categories.

Here are the finalists in each category for the 2024 award.
