Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus today at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET, and the phones could sport some weird features—like a stylus camera.

Where to Watch

You can expect the last few months of 2019 to be filled with Samsung news. There’s the new Galaxy Tab S6, the Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy S10 5G, and the Galaxy Fold (which has been delayed until September). If you want to keep yourself in the loop, this event may be worth a couple hours of your time.

Today’s Samsung Unpacked event will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and will stream live on Samsung’s website. You can watch it there or directly on YouTube.

Why You Should Watch This

Samsung is pulling out some wild ideas this year. The Galaxy Fold phone is a notable example, but there’s also the new Galaxy Tab S6 (advertised as a laptop replacement), the new analog styled Galaxy Watch, and the slightly premature Galaxy S10 5G.

If rumors are correct (we’ll find out at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET), the Galaxy Note 10 will add a new flavor of weirdness to Samsung’s 2019-2020 lineup. Supposedly, the S Pen included with the Note 10 will have its own camera—like a spy camera. This idea was patented by Samsung earlier this year, and it’s echoed in Samsung’s Note 10 promotional video, where the S Pen draws a camera in thin air. Although this may simply be a reference to the new Air Gesture feature that Samsung is teasing.

Alongside its stylus camera, the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are rumored to have four rear cameras (like the S10 5G), a few physical buttons for power and volume, 5G capabilities, and hole-punch cameras.

As for screen size, it’s rumored that the Note 10 will have a 6.3″ display, and the Note 10 Plus will have a 6.8″ display.

Otherwise, we’ll have to tune in to the livestream to catch all the official details.
