A first-look teaser for the documentary Deep Rising dropped this week after the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday.
The documentary is narrated by Jason Momoa and directed by Matthieu Rytz. It centers on the deepest parts of the ocean and some companies’ controversial efforts to mine it.
“Four thousand meters down on the ocean floor another energy revolution is underway,” Momoa narrates in the teaser. “But are we willing to repeat history?”
The visuals in the teaser are stunning, with gorgeous views of the darkest parts of the ocean and the otherworldly creatures that inhabit that space.
