Lego unveils new Colosseum set, its largest yet, with 9,000-plus pieces

If you’ve been searching for the perfect way to entertain yourself during the tail end of 2020, Lego’s got you covered.

On Friday, the beloved toy company announced that its largest set ever, a Roman Colosseum with whopping 9,036 pieces, will be on sale Nov. 27 (aka Black Friday).

The Colosseum will break the record for largest Lego set, dethroning the previous 2017 title holder, the 7,541-piece Ultimate Collector Series Star Wars Millennium Falcon. Prior to the Millennium Falcon, Gizmodo notes that the largest set was the 5,923-piece Taj Mahal model, which is still impressive, but nothing compared to Lego’s latest unveiling. Read more…
