Writer/director Neil Marshall clearly has a thing for people battling monsters in confined underground spaces.
He visited this territory with his 2005 potholing horror The Descent (one of the scariest movies on Shudder), and now he’s returned to it with The Lair, a movie about an RAF pilot (Charlotte Kirk) exploring an underground bunker after being shot down over Afghanistan.
Expect darkness, misshapen creatures, and members of a small party getting picked off one by one.
