Twitter is testing playback speed for videos and voice notes, according to a tweet posted by the company’s support account.

Some users will see different options available within the platform on Android and web browsers, with various speeds to choose from. It appears that Twitter’s option for playback speed sits at the top right of videos, which can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. The speed can be adjusted down to 0.25x or sped up to 2x.

Since the feature is currently in test mode, so it won’t be available for all users just yet — including iPhone and iPad users. But as seen with other platforms like Netflix and YouTube already boasting a playback speed feature, it’s a step forward for accessibility.

Twitter is also in the midst of trialling a downvote button, which is being tested globally. The button is only found on replies, not on posts themselves.
