Apache NetBeans 11.1 was released with new Java EE 8 enhancements

Docker Enterprise 3.0 entered general availability

Following a public beta in which more than 2,000 people participated, Docker Enterprise 3.0 has now entered general availability. It brings with it the ability to automate the deployment of containers and Kubernetes, and a new application format, Docker Application.

Julia takes a page from Go, adds composable multi-threading feature

The Julia programming language introduced composable multi-threaded parallelism. We took a look under the hood to see where this language is headed, and what it includes. It may not be the most popular language, but attendees of JuliaCon in Baltimore showed off its specific uses and creations made with the language.

Update: Project Lanai approved – macOS graphics rendering pipeline gets green light

Oracle and JetBrains engineers proposed to collaborate on a macOS-based graphics rendering pipeline to replace the current one, which is based on the now-deprecated OpenGL. The voting is over and the proposal is officially approved.
