The last month or so has been a whirlwind of life adjustments. We can’t go out shopping anymore, we’re told to wear face masks in situations where social distancing isn’t possible, and people are picking up new hobbies to stay entertained while confined to their homes.
Because of all these factors, there’s been a surge in sewing machine purchases. Many of the usual places you’d buy one are sold out or pricing the remaining stock ridiculously high. Head’s up: A basic sewing machine should not cost you $500+, so if that’s the price you’re seeing, you’re getting ripped off. Granted, some of the more advanced ones do cost a bit extra. Read more…
